Admission Administrator

The Admission Administrator position is designed to provide support to the Vice President for Admission, Director of Recruiting, and other senior staffs, to help qualified applicants to complete their applications. This position supports qualified applicants, recruiters, and admission committee members during application completion processes. This position serves as a back up for the Receptionist. This position performs functions critical for maintaining operational excellence, contributes to effective enrollment management, and ensures customers’ satisfaction with admission and enrollment services.

Duties:

Assist with upload and processing qualified applications. Audit/backfill uploaded application data. Process incoming transcripts/admission paperwork. Review/respond to the info and recruiting inbox emails.

Receive/answer/reply all applicants’ calls, emails, letters and questions

Assist with generating application follow-up and admission decision communication. Assist with statistical reporting inquires. Assist with TOEFL/IELTS/GRE requirement/or waiver request processing.

Serve as a back up for the Receptionist.

Assist with file completion projects including permanent file transfer to the Registrar’s Office.

Assist the Assistant Director, Admission Operations and Systems with process improvement and reporting projects.

Uphold Institute mission through work performed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience. Must be detail-oriented and result-driven with strong organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills. Must be customer service oriented and a team-player with a strong ability to plan and prioritize. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher, and Power Points. Must be able to quickly assimilate new software, student information system, CRM, and portals.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree. 3 years of proven track record in higher education admission, recruitment, administration, or student systems. Proven track-record showing ability to work in fast-paced education administration or student services environment. Proficiency in PeopleSoft, Outlook, and fax/scanning equipment is preferred.
