Visit Nobel Prize Winner in Physics, Dr. Mather, in NASA

Dr. Martin Ma and Mr. James Wilson visited 2006 Nobel Prize Winner in Physics, Dr. John C. Mather in NASA Goddard Space Flight Center on June 16, 2016.

Dr. John C. Mather is a Senior Astrophysicist in the Observational Cosmology Laboratory at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. His research centers on infrared astronomy and cosmology. Dr. Mather also is an adjunct professor of physics at the Institute of Maryland College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences. In 2007, Mather was listed among Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in The World. In October, 2012, he was listed again by Time magazine in a special issue on New Space Discoveries as VISIT NASA smallone of 25 most influential people in space.

Dr. Mather gave a tour in the famous James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) where he serves as the project scientist at JWST —  a space telescope to be launched to L2 no earlier than 2018.
