Dr. Jim Chen will serve as Editor In Chief of CiSE
Congratulating Dr. Jim Chen, Senior Vice President at VIST, will serve as Editor in Chief of Computing in Science and Engineering (CiSE)!
Dr. George Thiruvathukal, present EIC of CiSE, said: “Without speaking to the details of the process, there were multiple excellent candidates for the EIC position. I am delighted for all who considered the position and were willing to continue the great work we have done in this publication over the years. Hopefully, we can leverage this interest to bring some new folks to the editorial board as well. Jim’s appointment will be from 1/1/2017-12/31/2019. Per the changes at the IEEE Computer Society, EIC terms are now 5 years instead of 4 within a reappointment process after 3 years instead of 2.”
